Rethinking the Annual Meeting: A Year of Data, Lessons, and Partner Wins
Thursday, November 19, 2026, 1:30-2:30pm ET
Good for 1 CAE or CMP Credit
Your meetings and learning programs generate a steady stream of data, but how much of it turns into real insight? Join a practical conversation on getting more out of the data from your in-person and online events and your learning management system, including tips on using AI to spot patterns and perform tasks efficiently.
Duncan Jennings, Chief Innovation and Growth Officer of the North Carolina Dental Society, will share what NCDS learned after replacing its annual meeting with multiple smaller events. With a full year of data in hand, he’ll explain from a business perspective how the change delivers win-win-win for members, corporate partners, and staff.
The conversation also will look at the member insight and learning pathways sitting unused in course and event data. AJ Sallis of Intuto will share how conference sessions, webinar recordings, and even strong but unaccepted proposals can become year-round learning. AJ also will describe how his team uses AI workflows to repurpose content and win back hours lost to admin, plus a simple monthly engagement check that flags learners who have stalled so that staff can reach out before disengagement becomes a renewal problem.
Key takeaways:
- What a year of data shows after moving from one annual meeting to a series of smaller events
- How meeting format changes can create more value for corporate partners, members, and staff at the same time
- How to turn conference sessions and unused proposals into year-round, revenue-earning learning
- Ways to use engagement and adoption data to reach members who need help before they drift away
- A low-risk way to start: pilot a simple summary workflow, refine your prompts for a week or two, then add more complex data sources
The 60-minute session is facilitated by Barbara Armentrout of BJA Solutions for Associations and co-hosted by Teri Carden of Insight Guide.
